‘The book ‘Telangana- The State of Affairs’ is indeed a very timely effort brought out by M. Bharath Bhushan and N. Venugopal. Over all, the book is worth reading because it is not only informative but also goes beyond examining the usual ‘what happened’ narratives with events of merger of Telangana into Andhra Pradesh and series of violations of safeguards reiterated in chronology of Telangana from Nizam period to the current day. Two interesting things are happening in Telangana. Mr. KCR, the Chariot of Telangana is doing ‘yaagam’ to achieve Telangana. On the other side Mr. Devender Goud with Andhra Prajarajyam’s Yuvaraj Pavan Kalyan is having a ’samajika Telangana’ meeting, and another ‘yaagam’ in Arts College . Now it is Yaagams to achieve Telangana!
Each one has their own coteries, intellectuals, artists, youth wings, spokespersons. Common man of Telangana wonders which Goddess / God will give Telangana. Political cinema season started in Telangana, rich sections only will have chance. Poor chaps they are highly worried whether their seats or roles are guaranteed. After all they don’t want to lose their chance to serve the people

After Chiranjeevi’s filmi release of ‘Praja Rajyam‘ to the cheers of youth or fans in lakhs in open air theatre at Tirupathi watching a real live show without retakes, there was another meeting next day of a different kind in Hyderabad.
It was a great live entertainment show, if not anything. But it was a nightmare for some gambler type politicians who saw a threat to their own vote fortunes in some measure or the other. The Chiranjeevi show was a great ‘fill in the blank’ that any one ready for conversion found it a great reason to divorce old vaadhe and flirt to a new tune.

‘Nava Telangana Praja Party’ (NTPP) visited Polepally and talk about the SEZ tragedy in public and to the media along with the people who came from several villages. Today, NTPP chief Mr. Devender Goud, Mr Peddi Reddy, Machineni K Rao, Pashyam Yadagiri, Allgadapa Panduranga Rao, NTPP volunteers and supporters visited Polepally in large number. Throughout the way from Hyderabad to Polepally people received Mr.Goud’s team with great applause and warm greetings!

Today Fateh Maidan, the center of Hyderabad, was flooded with Polepalli SEZ Victims. Hundreds of farmers including men and women, old and young came to Hyderabad to tell the APIIC authorities of their woes and give them their demands.
There were many activists in the dharna. Police reached there in large number before any one can imagine, they were pestering for hundred details of the protesters
Our friends don’t seem to learn anything even after major defeat in May 2008. They exhibit same talk that is six years old. They say that TRS has not lost anything on May 29 although every Telanganite has felt so hurt and disappointed.
There are hundred arguments friends put forth to say that money, rigging, caste, liquor, heat wave of summer, migration etc have affected the TRS vote bank. Above all ‘ignorant’,’uneducated’ telangana people.. (ఇంకా…)
Telangana People world wide for separate state-Hunger strike in Hyderabad
Hunger strike for our separate state is a memorable experience. A great move that all TNRI’s across the globe came together and took part in fasting on Sunday. Remarkable initiative indeed.
I attended Hyderabad group at Kaloji Bhavan. So touching it was to see parents of Telangana NRIs. There were also NRI friends – Sriram Vedere, Vinode Elete, Sridhar, Gajula Buchanna, Gulf friends among others. (ఇంకా…)
Its interesting that debate on farmers is catching attention of friends. It nice to hear someone start the debate with Its Elementary Mr. Telanganite! ! Like who is farmer, whether they are alive, elements of farming system, testing knowledge of farmers, teaching market to our farmers. I think we are far different from many societies where farming is not looked down upon and farmer is treated equal with other elites. (ఇంకా…)
